REMC linemen post perfect scores at rodeo

Likes and Harlan smiling at rodeo

Noble REMC congratulates Journeyman Lineman Trevor Harlan and Apprentice Lineman Kyler Likes, who earned perfect scores in each of their events at the Indiana Electric Cooperatives Lineman Rodeo in August.

The linemen competed in events that tested skills such as knot tying, pole climbing, hurtman rescue, and safely changing electric line hardware. In the end, placing came down to mere seconds based on competitors’ times.

Out of 27 competitors in each class, Likes placed sixth overall in the apprentice competition, and Harlan earned 11th overall in the journeyman competition.

A total of 29 teams and 67 individual competitors from 23 Indiana electric cooperatives competed in this year’s event, which was held at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds in Danville.

We’re proud of our linemen’s skill, dedication, and commitment to safety and precision — a great representation of the work they do here at Noble REMC.
