For many of us, 90 years encompasses a lifetime.
But for Noble REMC, nine decades of service have touched thousands of lives — from our members and community to our employees.
Anniversary stories often focus on an organization’s history — dates, numbers, and names — but what sets our history apart is one simple principle: doing what’s right for our community.
That means uplifting and supporting our employees so they can provide the best possible service to the people they call friends and neighbors.
That means delivering affordable, reliable power through ongoing grid maintenance and innovative energy solutions.
That means giving back and strengthening our community through grant programs, youth opportunities, and local support.
We use a saying in many of our promotions: “Built by our community to serve our community.”
We wouldn’t be here to serve you without the farmers who banded together and refused to wait for investor-owned utilities to recognize their worth.
They knew the labor and investment that began in 1936 would allow local rural families to work more efficiently and give them more of what matters — time to spend with family and friends, or simply to sit on the front porch and watch the world go by.
Electricity was, and still is, a gift that helps keep us connected. It may seem as simple as flipping a switch when you walk into a room or plugging in a charger for your phone or device, but those everyday moments do more than light a space or power a screen. They bring us together.
Noble REMC is proud to be your electric cooperative and to have served this community for 90 years. Technology and communities may look different today, but our commitment to people has not changed.
We are here because of you and for you, and we can’t wait to see what the next 90 years have in store for our members, our community, and our cooperative.
