Making the co-op real for area youth

Safety demo at school

Youth engagement is both a fun part of our work at Noble REMC as well as our most important outreach.

It’s our mission to teach the youth of today to help create our local leaders for tomorrow.

In addition to the trips and scholarships we provide each year, we present tabletop safety demonstrations for schools and youth-based organizations, provide tours of our headquarters, and showcase job opportunities at local career fairs.

It’s an initiative that is near and dear to Manager of Communications and Marketing Kevin Dreibelbis’ heart, who spearheads many of the programs we offer.

“As a community-minded business, it’s our duty to give back to our communities and members who give so much to us,” Dreibelbis said. “One area we feel strongly about is education and our youth. Children are our future, and it’s important to provide opportunities and help young people, who will be leading us one day.”

It’s been a banner year for engagement, having presented 12 safety demos, engaged with students at two career fairs and hosted two tours at our offices, teaching and interacting with hundreds of area children and teens. And there’s plenty of time to reach even more!
