Ninety years ago, local farmers and rural residents came together to build Noble REMC and bring electricity to their neighbors. Today, we honor their hard work and cooperative spirit by continuing to invest in the communities we serve.
Each October, electric cooperatives across the country celebrate National Co-op Month. In Indiana, cooperatives expand on that celebration through Community
Day, a statewide effort that brings co-op employees together to serve the people and places that make their communities strong.
This year, Noble REMC focused its efforts on Chain O’ Lakes State Park. A valued co-op member and popular outdoor destination, the park provides a place for residents and visitors to connect with nature and one another.
Throughout the day, employees worked in shifts to tackle staining projects in and around the campground; trail maintenance, invasive plant management, and power washing around the Stanley Schoolhouse; and tree trimming throughout the grounds.
Serving our community is both a privilege and a reflection of the cooperative difference. We are grateful for the support of our members over the past 90 years and look forward to continuing this tradition of service for generations to come.
