The Noble REMC annual meeting is the highlight of the year for many consumers. The current format, now over 20 years old, has evolved into an outdoor picnic and customer appreciation event. Good family entertainment and the popular Noble County Pork Producer’s grilled pork burgers draw over 2,000 people to this event.

The main purpose of the annual meeting is to elect board of director members and tend to other legal matters and reports of the condition of the corporation. Each year three of 12 board members stand for election. Members register and vote upon entering the huge tent covering the parking lot. Directors up for election greet members as they approach. Not to be taken lightly, the board members of the corporation have a very responsible job governing the REMC.

The annual meeting is open to current members (customers) of the REMC and their immediate family—those living within the household. Many activities for family and kids are available. Registration and voting take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the entire event concluding at 1:30 p.m.

The 2009 Noble REMC annual meeting is on Saturday June 6, 2009 at the REMC headquarters on Weber Road in Albion.
